Questions
Are big ships boring?
Only if you let them be. The good ones run enrichments, cooking classes and late dining, and the ship is empty most afternoons when you're ashore.
What does a fair price look like?
£150–£400 per person per night for a mid-range ship in a sea-view cabin, drinks and gratuities extra. Watch for repositioning sailings, which are far cheaper.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, and one that covers medical evacuation. Ship-side medical care is basic and getting home is expensive.
