Kiotari, Rhodes, Greece
Mayia is the big, polished sibling of Boutique 5 on the south-east coast of Rhodes: an adults-only, five-star resort of 250 sea-view rooms and suites set right on Kiotari Beach. Everything is included, from à la carte dinners and branded drinks to the spa's pools and saunas, so once you arrive you can put your wallet away. It suits travellers who want space, choice and a little evening sparkle, without children around.
Best for: Couples and friends who want a stylish, adults-only beach resort where good food, drinks and the spa are all included.
Where it is
The resort spreads across about 15 acres of beachfront at Kiotari, on the quieter south-east coast of Rhodes. Its own stretch of sand, with sunbeds, Balinese daybeds and a beach bar, is part of the long Kiotari beach. Lindos and its acropolis are about 15 minutes' drive north; Rhodes Town and the airport are around an hour away. Kiotari itself is small, so most evenings are spent in the resort.
For the Old Town, Symi and the rest of the island, see our Rhodes guide.
Rooms and suites
There are 250 rooms and suites across ten types, all with sea views and a calm, contemporary look: pale stone, warm wood, curved walls and soft olive tones. Swim-up rooms open straight onto a shared pool from the terrace. Top of the range is the Mayia Suite, 48 square metres with a separate living area, two bathrooms, a heated private pool, an outdoor hot tub and free airport transfers. Every room has a daily refilled minibar, a pillow menu and turndown, and 24-hour room service is available for a charge.
Food, spa and the rest
The premium all-inclusive runs from 7am to 2am. Waterfront, the main restaurant, serves buffets with show cooking and holds the Greek Breakfast label. Dinner at the à la carte restaurants is included with a booking: Thymari for modern Greek by the sea, Al Dente for Italian by the pool, Wasabi for Asian dishes under a retractable roof, and Flame, a steakhouse with a charcoal Josper oven, new for 2026. Oinos, the wine and champagne bar on the top floor, has piano music and wide views. The spa has a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, all included; treatments are extra. There are two outdoor pools, a gym, tennis, yoga and Pilates, plus live music, shows and the Bo nightclub for later nights.
The moment
A glass of champagne at Oinos as the light fades over the Aegean, the piano playing and dinner at Thymari still to come, with nothing to sign for.
Why we chose it
Most all-inclusive resorts trade quality for convenience. Mayia doesn't. The cooking is varied and good, the drinks are proper brands, the rooms are stylish and every one faces the sea. It is lively enough to feel like a holiday, yet the adults-only rule keeps it relaxed. Choose it for a carefree week where everything is taken care of.
If you would prefer something smaller and quieter, its sister hotel Boutique 5 is also at Kiotari, with 44 rooms and a more intimate feel.
When to go
The resort is seasonal, typically open from spring to late autumn; check dates before booking. May, June, September and early October are best: warm sea, long days and fewer people at Lindos. July and August are hot and busy across Rhodes, and prices peak during the European school holidays.
The longer stay
A week here is easy. Mix lazy beach days with trips out: Lindos early in the morning, the Byzantine castle at Asklipio, the villages of Lachania and Lardos, and the windswept beach at Prasonisi on the southern tip. The concierge can arrange a car, private tours and boat trips, including a day on Symi. Add two nights in Rhodes Old Town at the start or end.
