Cruise line review
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection
A superyacht with a marina at the stern, a suite with its own terrace and the polish of a Ritz-Carlton hotel: it is the closest most of us will come to chartering our own yacht.
The line
The first luxury hotel brand to go to sea, the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection launched in 2021. It sails the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, French Polynesia and beyond in winter, with plenty of overnight stays in port.
The ships
Three superyachts: Evrima, the original, carries 298 guests; Ilma, 2024, carries 448; Luminara, 2025, carries 452. The stern marina lowers to the water for swimming, paddleboarding and watersports in calm anchorages.
Cabins and suites
Every suite has a private terrace, with residential design, deep bathtubs and a mood of a fine hotel room at sea. The Owner's suites and loft suites are exceptional.
Food and drink
Several restaurants and a lively bar scene, with drinks included. Some special dining experiences carry a supplement.
Onboard life
Relaxed, elegant and stylish without stuffiness. Days revolve around the pool, the spa, the marina and long lunches; evenings around live music and a nightcap on deck.
Excursions
Paid excursions and private experiences in every port, and itineraries built around small, chic harbours such as Portofino, St Barts and Saint-Tropez.
What is included
Dining in most venues, drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities and the watersports from the marina. Excursions, spa treatments and some premium dining are extra.
Who will love it
Travellers who love boutique luxury hotels and want an intimate, glamorous voyage to the chic harbours of the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Families are welcome, but the mood is elegant rather than playful, and term-time sailings are calmest.
