Questions
How active is an expedition voyage?
Two Zodiac landings a day in most polar ports, on uneven ground and in swell. Kayak and camping options are harder, and usually optional.
Is it worth the price?
If wildlife and landscape are the point, yes. The ships are small, the guides are scientists, and nothing else gets you to these places in comfort.
What's included?
Almost always meals, park fees, expedition gear such as boots and jackets, and every landing. Flights and the helicopter, if there is one, are extra.
